outstanding quality paintings on each doll.  The colors are beautifully muted and blended to give the impression of the wintry
Russian landscape.  The artist has used glitter to resemble jewels in the decoration around the face.  On the reverse side, there is a
golden design painted by the Russian artist.  This piece has a high gloss finish achieved through many coats of lacquer carefully
applied to the Matryoska nesting doll.  Signed by the Russian artist.  Tallest nesting doll is 8 inches high.
Very impressive hand carved, hand painted RUSSIAN SANTA has the most beautiful hand painted scenes on both the front
and back of the cloak, and also is holding a small bird and staff.  In addition, this merriest of Russian Santas has a most
exquisite carved face that is so expressive with the wistful smile and twinkling blue eyes.   This Russian Santa is all hand
carved, with paintings all around the Santa in a circular design all over the cloak.  Most of the Russian Santas only have
paintings on the front of the cloak.  This Santa is very special with the beautiful hand painted work of the Russian artist!
The linden wood that is chosen for this type of carving is aged and then ready for the carver to begin work.  The Russian
master carver works together with the artist to create this wondrous Father Frost figure .  The facial features of this Russian
Santa are quite engaging and beautiful, with details to make the face cheery and realistic.  This Father Frost figure stands 12
inches tall, with the signature of the Russian artist on the bottom of the Santa.
