From time to time I may be able to offer other hand-crafted items from Russia such as the nesting dolls
(Matryoshkas), lacquered boxes and the lacquered brooches. All items are painted by hand by Russian artists.
I would also like to share some decorating ideas with you for the Russian Santas. I like to place a cranberry or fir
wreath around one of the Russian Santas and then use this as a centerpiece on the table. The brooches look
especially nice on a ladies blazer or white blouse. When I am making up Christmas baskets as gifts, I often place a
lacquered box or a few lacquered brooches inside and it really makes for a nice touch. The Russian Santa
makes an especially unique focal point for any room at any time of the year.

customer collects polar bear carvings from around the world and wanted a set from Russia. The master carver had an idea
in mind of how he wanted the polar bears' expressions and the positions of the mother and cub. It was a process that took
place over a series of months from the idea to the carving and finally the painting by the Russian artist. The customer was
involved at each stage of the planning and creation. The same process takes place for custom orders for the beautifully

the photo also has a small bird perched on his hand. The Russian artist may decide to paint pictures on the front, back or
